Mabel woke up and decided to do some work in her garden. She put on her garden gloves and, row by row, started uprooting the weeds. Little did she know that while taking out the weeds, she had also been uprooting some newly sprouting seedlings. Halfway through, she realized what she had done and felt disappointed. Oh my, what have I done!

She looked up and suddenly saw the sun parting the clouds. Mabel sighed, smiled, and muttered, "God, You have some sense of humor." Then she looked to the next row and saw that a plant she thought was dead had one of its buds slowly opening up beautifully. Mabel smiled and said, "Thank You, Jesus, for this blessing."

Blessings present themselves in numerous ways. It is up to us to acknowledge them.

It is up to us to be grateful for every opportunity, and every disappointment, that presents itself.

Finding Meaning in Hardship

A grateful heart does not deny hardship but rather finds meaning within it. It celebrates small victories, cherishes relationships, and sees each day as a gift rather than a burden. This mindset not only uplifts our spirit but also strengthens our connections with others, as appreciation naturally fosters kindness and empathy.

When we face obstacles, it does not mean a setback, nor does it mean God has forgotten us. Rather, it is a call to be thankful. Remember His Word, that everything is working together for our good, as God has promised.

When we cultivate thankfulness, we nurture resilience. We find beauty where others see blame.

In the quiet of morning light, gratitude blooms, soft and bright.

The Dawn of a New Day

It's the dawn of a new day! Another day to be happy, to be grateful, because everything is working together for our good. He is in control.

Let every detail in your lives — words, actions, whatever — be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. (Colossians 3:17, MSG)
